One of my more serious poems. Another "too bad boy, you missed your shot" poems. I write a lot of those.

Burn my pride,

Push my hand.

Promised that you would always stand.

It was a lie,

Guess I should've known.

I'm sorry I didn't realize

that your love was a loan.

They said you shouldn't hide it,

Sorrow is something you should show.

What was I supposed to do?

You left me all alone.

You beat me down then,

Why not do it once more?

I've coped enough that this time it won't feel like a bullet through the core.

Did you think that I would be okay?

Did you think I didn't die that day?

Well I did,

You had me shooken up like a scared little kid.

You pulled it again,

You said you couldn't,

and who was I to think you wouldn't?

Everything you did felt like an attack,

And now you think I'm coming back?

Well, baby boo hoo,

I learned that it wasn't me, it was you.

Just one question? If my foot fit the shoe,

Would you still need more than just us two?
