She lays across the grass,

Embracing the ocean’s breeze…

Feeling at home for once in her life.

This newly acquainted world has yet to learn,

Of the beauties that she relishes inside.

The depth of song that hasn’t yet been sung,

Is now the distant sound of a cry,

And the silence that she has been left with…

Her final words will not leave her with sorrow.

She will show pride until her dying day.

This beauty of her unborn child…

Living and growing inside her…

Will no longer have a life.

She sighs with relief as she knows it will be time,

Time to say goodbye.

But maybe someday,

She will be free..

For now though,

She falls into her beloved sea of all eternity…

There will always be that smile nice

And content upon her face,

Knowing her dear child will remain within her forever more,

And will not be exposed to this devouring pain…
