Crouched in the bushes, I aim. My heart throbs loudly, shouting out my hiding place. For a moment the buck, the proudly antlered buck, stares my bush down, seeing through it, staring me down. My eye twitches. His nostrils flare, scenting me. I squeeze the trigger. BANG! The sound reverberates through the woods. The buck runs, futily trying to save his life. He staggers and falls, crashing to the ground. I stand, victorious. Leisurely I walk over to the fallen carcass. It's a good kill. A two-hundred-pound ten-pointer. I bag it and move on. The hunt continues.
