Screaming,
Pounding,
Does anybody hear me?
Suffocating,
Drowning,
Against the tide I'm struggling
Fighting,
Dividing,
My family tears around me
They're siding,
Sides solidifying,
I find myself caught in the in-between
Exploding,
Bombarding,
Every shot reverberating
The blasting,
The shelling,
No man's land is ugly
Mediating,
Failing,
This Switzerland is bleeding
Crying,
Falling,
Gunshot wounds from those who loved me
Raging,
Aching,
In their own pain they're destroying me
The tormenting,
The questioning,
How can I choose between!?
Loving now is
Misery
I can't pick sides, can't fight against family
They're resting—
Now reloading
My eyes shut tight as the next round blasts around me
Collapsing
Praying
Screaming to the One who can stop their warring
Pausing,
Listening—
An empty sky of silence in reply to me
Finally
Surrendering
The fighting is too much, I can't go on in this icy hell of in-between

Sad and vivid and hardly any reads ..... no justice in that either. Should be read.
Wed, February 13th, 2013 3:04amIt's terrible, that the biggest of fights normally start over the littlest of nothings!
Why can't we all just bury our hatchets...not in one another and give each other a great big old love hug and start all over again?
I love you...pop, bang, pow...no no no not the fight thing all over again, geesh!
Seriously, what was it that really started the feud?
We can't bring back the dead in mind, body or soul when they're that determined to die over...let go of my Eggo or you gonna die!
This gets another vote/like from crazy ol' me.
Just ask Indie, she'll vouch for me...I think that she'll vouch for me!
Very, very deep. I had to read it 3 times to take it all in. I want to read more of your work, wish i could be deep like that.

I still remember the silence of the crowd when you read this. The rhythm behind it is harsh and rugged, and each word cuts into you with biting imagery. Excellent work, my friend.

I remember trying to make it sound interesting, because the extremely repetitive cadence can unfortunately lend itself to monotony. Delighted to know it's an effective piece :)
