Panic and Pocophobia

Poem by: Iskah E Shirah

Summary

This is what I feel when I think about taking a nurse's needle to the arm. Don't laugh.

Sharp
Bite
Hot
The muscle aches down into my elbow
Up into my shoulder
A scream at my throat
Push it away!
Like a spider, you just have to get it off
Please don’t
Please
I’m crying
Please
Don’t---
Let
Me
Be
Sick
