Standing in the wet garage
Anxiously awaiting your name
Not hearing the people around me
They all sound the same
~
Always hoping always dreaming
That you would even think of me
Always thinking always dreaming
That you would one day see
~
Just how much I call for you
Just listen you will hear
Just how much I call for you
Please only lend me your ear
~
I am not the roaring water
Or the sound of a scream
I am the faintest whisper
That always resembles a dream
~
I stare at the TV
Until the screen shows your face
Anxiously awaiting your answer
Feeling my heart
Quicken pace
~
Then I hear your faint voice
Utter my name
I am overcome with a feeling
That never before has came
~
I weep for joy
My family doesn’t believe me
It’s just another one of your moods they say
If only they could see
~
Just to know you’ve chosen me
As the person you miss most
Has given me the feeling
That I deserve to boast
~
But yet I still weep
I cry and cry again
Just to know my name
Was always to remain
