The halls crowded with emptiness and ghosts echoed throughout
You could feel this godless wind blowing, but nothing moved about
The walls closed in slowly, but to skin they never met
He sat there in the corner and began to nervously sweat
“Stop it, ANSWER ME.” He screamed at the walls
Yet nothing replied, just his own voice in the halls
The darkness seemed to encroach upon his last shred of light
As he lay curled up in a corner, no will to fight
“Fine, just take me, I give up!” He quietly sighed
Clutching himself in fear, he suffered a heart attack and died
On that cold winter night in the basement of his home
It was a death worthy of no man, so cold, afraid and alone
