The hours are drifting,

and I lay here

wind sifting,

through the trees.

~

I hear a noise,

a creak,

a groan.

You're here again.

~

Why don't you get it over with?

It will take less time,

to explain what is happening,

instead of waiting.

~

I will grow older every day,

and you'll still wait.

Graduation

is four years away.

~

So make my wish come true.

You're waiting,

scaring me,

tempting me to tempt you.

~

It's true my life is like no irritible grizzly.

and I know about you.

but even then.

My wish will not come true.

~

The night is calling,

the moon rising,

your cool breath

is on my neck.

~

I can't wait

until the date.

When my wish

comes true.
