I came up with this poem in math class.

I hope you enjoy it. It is written in double paragraph rhyme, two paragraphs rhyme together, to form sort of verses. Except for the last two phrases, which is just kind of a sum up of the entire poem.

Shattered Sunlight

~ By Itania

~

As the sunlight softly shatters,

I will run off in the night.

As upon these silver moon beams,

In the silent starlight.

~

It is up to me to gather,

what is wrong and what is right.

But what is honour in a world,

where to live is just to fight?

~

The truth is aways hiding,

under lies we've told before.

Like saying 'I love you',

before closing the door.

~

Just because you're sobbing,

beating fists upon the floor.

I can't see us together.

Quoth the raven 'Nevermore'

~

I'm sorry for your heartache,

but I found someone else to hold.

One who is as warm as you,

to keep me from the cold.

~

So though I left you weeping

and though what we had is old.

I want you to open your eyes,

and let the truth be told.

~

Because while you're out wandering

and you feel so alone.

Find someone else to heal your wounds,

to mend your broken bones.

~

As the sunlight softly shatters.

It is up to me to gather.

The truth that is always hiding

Just because you're sobbing.

~

I'm sorry for you're heart ache.

So though I left you weeping

Because you're out there wandering.

...

Go find yourself another.
