I made the title off of a Bob Dylan lyric, "I've paid my dues getting through." I was just gonna go with something reminiscent of it, but hell, it wasn't working out. I was making it weaker. Anyhow:

I’ve expanded

Gone beyond expectations

And what’s known

Been so high

So far out

Couldn’t imagine what was next

With the strength and fearlessness

No more impossibilities

I’ve shrunk

Shriveled inward

And been scared for what’s next

Where did my knowledge go?

Now I’m left with a stretched out consciousness

There’s strange nostalgia

A remembrance for the present

I can no longer reach it

Too much space!

It’s been too long

Any chance for renewal?

It can’t be said

I need to fill the arena

Find a will to do so

This can’t go on

But it might

I must find the infinite

Help in any form

I can’t hold off

Though misleading for those involved

I have to be just to myself

I’m stepping into the black hole

Acting on my only whim

Hope
