The dissident church bells
Toll yet again
Bringing back memories
Of long forgotten pain
I feel them ringing
Through the dry air
Under my dead oak tree
As if they were here
Instantly I remember the hurt
That once shattered my light
And brought pain and remorse
Into my perfect night
So I through away these wet red clothes
And walk down my hill buff
And enter my golden store
Where I buy some gray ear-muffs.
