Black abyss this night is to me
So friendly
So calm
No one
This insomnia frets
No rest
No thought
Visions of all past and future
Of the real
And realms of the ether
Fallacy and reality
Illusions of bubble wrap
Wrapped around statues of flesh
Unblinkingly we of the seekers of the end
Lie awake
And undeterred
And deferred
And undetermined
Future unsure
Visions of the forgotten sight
Abyss of night
Take me now
Free me from this illusionment
Free me from this life
No fight
No fright
Set this soul loose
Black as this abyss of night is to me
I still see
That I am me
… And I am not me
As you are you
And not you
But me
And we
As in us together
As two wholes
Making one half
Lie awake
Lost in visions of forgotten sight
And into this abyss of night
We drift not fall.
