And in this sweet wind we will be free
Free from pain
Free from fear
Free from hate
But what is freedom without these
Can we love
Can we enjoy
Can we desire
When we are truly free
There is no peace without violence
Who is to say we can love without hate

And in this sweet wind we will be free
Free from love
Free from joy
Free from desire
But what is freedom without these
Can we feel
Can we fear
Can we lust
When we are truly free
There is no calm without fear
Who is to say we can love without hate

And in this sweet wind we will be free
But what is freedom
Do we not rejoice when a poem captivates our souls
Do we not crie out in pleasure while locked in a lovers embrace
Do we not curse our luck when lost
Do we not weep once free of something beloved

And in this sweet wind we will be free
But perhaps it is merely how we define freedom
Cannot we be free in worship or a god
Or lost in the beauty of the land
Perhaps it is not freedom we seek
But lenience
A choice, if you will
To choose when we are free
And choose when we are not

And in this sweet wind we will be free
Free will
That is what dictates our desires
Controls our hearts
And our minds

And in this sweet wind we will be free
A choice is desired
And some will choose to serve
With loyalty or love

And in this sweet wind we will be free
Is love freedom?
And if not, would you reject it?

And in this sweet wind we will be free
And free we are

And in this sweet wind we are free…
