Snow falls
In the dark of night
Bringing romance
What a loving sight

Two lovers walk
Hand in hand
Discussing their passion
And future plans

Children playing
But it is growing dark
They must go to their mothers
But not without a tart remark

The moon has risen
How lovely it is
Out here on this bench
In the snow where I sit

The streets now clearing
Cars few and far apart
This silence so splendid
As it warms my restless heart

All silent and dark
Under this flickering street lamp
The snow so sweetly falling
My close warm, yet damp

I look up at the sky
At the goddess moon so bright
Filled with her warmth
And the warmth of this night

So I pull out my notebook
And begin to write
As I sit on this bench
No more doubt or fright

For this moment I feel
My heart ever fleeting
My visions of my goddess moon
And the dark she’s defeating

So I write of her
Her love unyielding
As I sit on this bench
With my thoughts not shielding

My passion and lust
On this bench I pour out
I write what is
And never do I doubt

Just sit
And imagine
Of this lust
I cant fathom

Just write
Out here in the snow
Out here
On my moonlit bench
