‘He looked at me bluntly
And spoke as calm as death itself
"I have come to kill you."’

"I am not your enemy,"
He says
And for a second you want to believe him
"I am here to help,
I have come to relieve you of your burdens,"
He extends his hand
You know not what to do
He smiles so softly
And you are lost
In his calm clear eyes
The window to a million souls
The window to freedom
"Come my child,
Let me guide you to bliss,
This world does not suit you,
Look at what it has done to you."
He is right
"It has lied to you"
It has
"It has betrayed you"
Yes, you think
"It has deserted you,
Abandoned you
Driven you to this madness."
You accept his hand
Pulling you up to the sink
The blade is already there
"Its what you came here for
But you were to cowardly,
I have given the strength,
Do not back out now."
And you don’t
You complete the task
It isn’t like you had anything to live for anyway
No pain
No regret
You fall silently to the floor
And finally
Finally..
You are free
Or so you thought
But now you realize…
It really wasn’t worth it.
