I linger here
On my ashen ground
Under the light of the moon
My spirit unbound
Perplexed by her glory
By her brilliant light
Under a brazen moon
I linger in my eternal night
There is no tomorrow
No today or yesterday
There is only this night
And I will not waist it away
I watch the silver silhouettes
Dancing spirits of the dead
Whispering sweet melodies
And lullabies in my head
Under these dead oak tree branches
Her light always shines through
Never ending never ceasing
Unwavering and true
An inexorable delight
She will shine full and soon
I linger here in my eternal night
Under a brazen moon.
