The feeling of solitude hits me like a rock.
It smashes me to the ground and pushes the tears and air from my body.
I try to wiggle out but the bolder holds firm.
Eventually, I hear your voice.
Soon after, I realize it is just over the phone.
I'm okay as long as you're talking,
But the moment we hang up the tears are back.
When I close my eyes to sleep,
All I can see is your thick, brown hair
Framing your handsom face.
Your beautiful soft brown eyes look into mine
As you tell me that it will only be a few more days.
You move in to kiss me with your soft, lightly freckled lips
Just as I wake up.
I go to reach for you in my bed but you're not there.
I get sadder as the days go by.
All of a sudden you walk throught the door and I'm so happy!
I almost knock you over as I jump on you.
The time goes faster now and it seems like the last few days never happened.
But then you have to go elsewhere again and my long weekend returns....
