All a baby can do

Is cry cry

Cry cry

Nothing else but

Cry cry

A spider cannot

It can only weave

And devour bugs

It cannot fly or cry

Only weave

And bite

And weave

They say

“We have freedom”

What freedom?

A baby cannot do anything but cry

Even if it

Doesn’t want to cry

A spider cannot do anything but weave

Including when it

Wants to do something else

Freedom is only what

One is able

To do

It is not “what you want”

Is it “what you can”

Who cares about

“What you want”

What you want is not

What you can

Please give me wings, says a toddler

Mother laughs at the toddler

She believes that it is foolish

But she believes in freedom

Too bad she thinks she has it

In truth

None of us

Are free

Freedom is

And unreal
