I wrote this for Gerard way on his birthday, April 9th. So for some reason he might read this, here's to you, Gerard. We love you.

We see you standing

on the other side of the screen

or on the front

of the page.

We claim we need you.

We're addicted to the feeling.

The sweet contempt

of the other's actions.

Every move you make

every word you speak

makes us weak.

Every risk you take

every thought you think

is our hearts' private link.

We know we cannot have you.

Or at least, not yet.

Yet our love for you

stays strong.

Our hearts' burn with passion;

a desire of great magnitude.

A mental state

in which there is no cold reality.

Still, we have our dreams.

A simple motivation

that someday may spon into something

bigger than us.

Happy birthday, Gerard.
