I sit here drinking beer

Watching TV but only to pass the time

I laugh occasionally

But only because I want something to do

I do this because something of me is empty

I never cried when he went away

An emotion I suppressed trying to be a man

I think of him always

He made me who I am

But when he broke

I did as well

A mirror image of him

I am proud

To call him father
