Glowing embers of a cigarette.

Illuminate -

Tires glide across wet pavement.

Midnight has come to pass.

Exhaustion crawls on skin like spiders -

Webs weaved into bloodshot eyes.

Close to home -

the miles stretch out immeasurable.
