This is a poem I wrote about about fading memories and how perceptions are so personal.

A memory, once so real to the very depth of my heart

Sought after time and time again

Comforting the soul,

Easing the heart,

Soothing the mind.

A memory, once so easy to find, begins to fade

with the entities of days gone by

No longer so detailed

the emotional mood

swallowed by a hazy slumber.

Waking up to discover its too far gone to remember

what was real,

what was just created

by the lonely mind.

Trapped feelings of panic arise

running courses of uncertainty

through my heart.

Reality- the past is set-

No longer questionable or interchangeable.
