My poem is about enjoying and engaging in the experience of rain under an umbrella and the revelations it might bring.

The colors twirl in a magical pinwheel of hope

creating an illusory peacefulness

beckoning one to pass under the shadow of its circle.

One, two, three steps I take-

the shelter providing a whimsical escape.

Away from the sorrow, the downfall of life

the raindrops keep falling

but never touch face.

Puddles surround me, I splash every one

hoping the distraction

will bring out the sun.

One, two, three more steps I take-

the distant sound of thunder heeds decisions I make.

A glance ahead, displays a rainbow on cue

I study its scheme of casting colors of hue.

Under the umbrella in my faraway land-

noone can join me- its one for every man.
