Flagrant and smartly attired to cause poverty
bringing pains and suffering to homes and the land
They devour entire families’ wealth and property
plundering mercilessly, voraciously yet legally grand

Bringing abject destitution and reckless anxiety
sending decent lives to the gutter’s strand
Putting sand in your plates; acting as deities’ band
they rob you of your livelihoods and humble dignity

Askew, cunning, avaricious they beguile deceitfully and
creating printed paper they say is trustworthily wealthy
Forcing everybody to blindly believe in their brand
collecting all your lives and servitude till eternity

They seize at will and torment your fragile mind
purging what little you have till you just break
Putting you and your loved ones in a sordid bind
they rejoice in sardonic laughter when they take

Trailing and hitting you hideously from behind
they snicker, grin and eschew your pleas; they rake
Knowing not mercy, sympathy nor is ever kind
they wring you off blood, sucking with no brake

Clutching you firmly in hand they twist and wind
disenchanting your very existence they won’t placate
They rupture you and leave you all non-sanguine
only to return for more tagging along bags and crates

These are the specimens causing disorientation
to the world at large and creating grand disharmony
Wrecking security and garnering others’ in desecration
all in a frenzy of greed within their hegemony

Driving innocent and decent folks to immolation
and leaping from dizzying heights for lost money
They manipulate casting a false security sensation
but later dropping a bombshell in appalling ceremony

Leaving the hoards poorer and in prolonged stagnation
yet in the eyes of the powers that be it isn’t larceny
For they are the masters’ very own diabolical creation
in unison they are the devil’s prodigious mercenary
