Fill My Cup

My Angel, smile as the day begins

for with it the sun shines tenderly

Bringing cheer as the birds sing

and to unfold our day so greatly

For your beauty glows as you smile

your bright eyes sparkle in brilliance

And those you greet all the while

will be enlivened by your ambiance

Know that you are special and delightful

as you touch my soul so sensitively

To me you are rare and beautiful;

a flower beaming so seductively

Thinking of you puts a smile on my face

for it reminds me of lovely thoughts

Making my heart beat like a race

for I know of the joys you brought

Still like a distant ship you sail

into my heart;  making me feel and see

Answering to my frail wail

and making what can’t be, can be

On and on we will seek to go

sailing upon calmer waters

Till we reach a place we know

Where? It doesn’t quite matter

In my heart is where you belong

a place of bliss where you'll be glad
