Your touch as magical as dawn breaking on my skin,

Your love was like a terrifyingly  delightful sin..

Your eyes were like onyx pearls that shone under the moonlight,

Your lips were like a touch of strawberries perfectly ripe.

But amidst this all, amidst these wonders,

You seem so far gone, so far under.

A fiction we lived, a fiction we imagined.

So many moments missed, so many moments happened.

Despite the loss and despite the hate.

You seem to be stuck in my heart, engraved.

Your name rings like autumn bells,

And this agony is kept prisoner, inside these cells.

A love best kept unspoken shall roam these halls,

With the world left broken you will savor it all.

Theres no song, no poem I could write.

To lash away this pain I feel each night.

Its not a silly teenage tragedy,

Its not your typical love parade.

It’s a man losing his happiness.

It’s a man losing his will to wake.

Shattered dreams and broken tears,

Yet everyone will judge and reach out but not feel.

Shattered dreams and broken tears,

Things weren’t like they seemed over the years.
