Status: Finished  |  Genre: Memoir  |  House: Booksie Classic

Pretty much just the background for my etsy shop and new interests and new things for me.

Growing up as a young man, I was the sort that had a limitless ambitions but the idea of actually following through with any of them was more fantasy and day dreaming than something that could actually happen if I pursued it.

Years and years ago, when I think back to it, the reason I started this....doing what I do now was caused by a whim, a rouge spark from some unknown place inside me that started a fire so real my eyes began to shine with a new kind of light......the fire of inner vision.

So far behind the present, so much younger than now, so much immersed in the trials and tribulations of growing up to be a man, it was all because of one day at that time in my life, one day where rain fell fast and heavily smashing to the ground as such that it was hard to hear anything other than that.

I was with my dad that day, coming home from a trip out to get items I cannot recall, it was when we arrived home, had nothing to do, I wanted to spend time with him as he tinkered in the garage. I knew nothing about any of the things some men are just so good at making and building or fixing and having usually spent more time with my mom, I was just curious about the things my dad liked to do.

Casually I asked him how different kinds of wooden boxes were made (As I do very much still prefer wooden boxes to any other) and he eagerly offered to teach me to make a simple box. And we did. How we took and worked weather beaten wood from looking like unsightly debris and turned it into something beautiful still amazes me to this day(I still have the box, and it is one of my most favorite things I own).

And so there on, it progressed. I asked him more and more things, I read, I studied, I used his DNA in me to learn to build know and do things. And luckily I combined it with the DNA traits I got from my mom as to be able to make things beautiful and overcome any frustrations or uncertainties in my new hobby of making things, which in time had become my passion, and in even more time, PureHeart Goods - My ambitious line of work.

Always learning, always trying, always working to get better at learning new things and doing new things, I also threw in my gift for writing and for oratory. And now, after all that is said and done, I came to realize this, this is the life I want. I started this shop to share that with the world, and help me become a member of the world and play my part in it happily, being the best man I can be, and doing the best work my increasing skill levels would allow.

That is how I became part of the world, happy, content, ambitious, and visible. Stop in and say hello, let us talk a while, I mean why not.......we are all part of the world now.
