On disconnected days I’d often imagine myself

Far absconded, in a wide breadth of water.

Floating aimlessly, my arms moving

Like broad brushstrokes onto an endless canvas,

A wave would overtake me

And I’d submerge to the recesses of the mind.

It would ease me;

To feel the entropic fluidity that holds me,

And to think on the auger

That floods with scents of salt and remiss;

That abdures from oaths of civility,

And with absence proves

Beauty within a chaotic world.
