The first song I actually managed to finish, I'm not sure I like all of it, butI like the analogy of the bird, and since it's the first thing I completed, I thought I'd share it

Can we take this bird in

With it's broken wing

We'll nurse it back to health

All by ourselves

As this poor little thing

Has a song to sing

Like broken hearts on sleeves

All by ourselves

Would you smile with glee,

As you sit here with me

My hand on your knee

Just for us to be

As one less than three

It's just you and me

We can still be free

As we fly through dreams

It's just you and me

And as Summer goes on,

The wing becomes strong

Strength building day by day

It starts to come

The beauty of the song

I hear it once more

The sound breaks my silence

It sings again

Would you smile with glee,

As you sit here with me

My hand on your knee

Just for us to be

As one less than three

It's just you and me

We can still be free

As we fly through dreams

It's just you and me

And now that bird is gone

Back where it belongs

It's legacy is strong

We should be one

As it flies free up high

I look to the sky

The message is clear now

We should be one

Would you smile with glee,

As you sit here with me

My hand on your knee

Just for us to be

As one less than three

It's just you and me

We can still be free

As we fly through dreams

It's just you and me

It's just you and me..
