Its a Town full of Swingers

Spit & sawdust pub mingers

not quite the girls that would sow with singer

Or stitch missing buttons on shirts the kids bring her.

The men arent much better I have to admit

But what can they do in a place so un-fit.

With bonfres burning and Lamberts half-lit.

Pull on your wet-suit

and dodge the vomit

of unsettling half-wits

in a tracksuit gang blitz.

Mind your wrist-watch

dont risk that sir.

Or your 70's BORG lined in black fur.

Call me a cab 85 yards down

any street that takes me out of this Town.

Or a late night cafe for a humble tea

Anything far from reality, see

I cant grasp why a Town so tight-knit

Should be reduced into a state of forefit

By 20 year olds that try and break trends.

Forgetting the days of "Make-do and mend"

Their Grandparents taught them weeks upon end.

The ones at the bar, that they drive round the bend.
