The guy who never says hi, but you will always remember

I sit here in my little cube
not thinking of anything but you
you are in a different room
I see you in the hall everyday
yet still can't think of the words to say
I want to tell you how I feel
I'm scared of what you'll say
instead I talk of little things
you will never believe what is said
you will be just the one that got away
I will sulk in my room
just as I always do
you will carry on anyway
as if I were never there
I will not make an impact in your life
I won't even be a blip on your mind
I will just walk, walk right on by
whenever I see you I will want to cry
and look on as you grow strong
strong enough to say goodbye
and when I die you will remember
all the things we could have been
once I am gone it will click
everyone will remember me
for the good or for the bad
but forever I will always be
that one guy in the hall that just walked on by
