I miss you.

Miss, as in lost?

I lost you..

Is someone lost, if they're missing?

If I'm missing them?

I miss you.

Did I fail to catch you?

I know I held my arms out..

Was I in the wrong place?

Did they close a second too late?

I miss you.

I don't recall trying to escape.

Not on purpose..

Can one evade another, on accident?

Did I push away, when I wanted to pull?

I miss you.

Lost, dropped, pushed..

You are anywhere but here..

And, your absence doesn't make my heart grow fonder...

Not at all, in honesty..

" You love me. And, I love you.. but that doesn't mean anything.."

It can't mean anything because we are apart.

And, even in loving..

well..

apart might be what we need to be..

Still..

I miss you.
