It is about a young girl who was promised a life she would never have. He used bittersweet lies to coax her into a false sense of security.

You say you want to help me.
You say you need me.
You say all these pretty lies.

I believe you and you betray my heart.
Leaving me alone in a world unknown.
I abandon all hope.

I shed the old.
The new is hidden behind the mask.
A smile hides the pain.

A laugh covers the fake.
Never again will I believe your broken lies.
How could you do this to me

You promised me everything I could ever want.
I turn around to find you are gone.
You have taken all that I am.

Leaving me stripped of who I was.
Feeling exposed in your world.
End what you started.

My love was genuine,
Your love was a game.
I will know who you betrayed.

I will hide all of those broken lies,
Under a sheet of scars.
The pain is in my blood.

The blood is on your hands.
And they now encase my throat.
Finish what you started.

One hand begins to trail down my body,
And then I feel the sting of a blade.
You have taken the rest of me.
