Shrine

Sunday morning pilgrimage

To the bizarre shrine I built

During an era of craziness.

I alone know its location.

I fondle a cider bottle.

Caress a shirt button.

Smooch

The photo I stole one night.

Everything here

Does not belong

To me

Except the mild feeling

That I’m sinking into

The numbness of lust,

The denial of reality.
