A darkness out of me
Spreading to all I touch
Black oily residue
Sticking to skin and
Seeping deep into bone
Negativity
Deep rooted pain
Annoyance and
Insincerity
Why me?
Why can’t I be happy with me?
I rock back and forth
Knees tucked tight
Hands squeezing themselves
My hair falls down
Wet and dripping
Drop after drop of
Joy leaking from me
Emptying until
A husk is left
So dry and shriveled
A crone
A witch
Is all that’s left to see
Why me?
Why can’t I be happy with me?
