Our Song

 By John Jimoh

If the river lines up to the heavens

We would hear the voices of the angels

And we will dance to their rhymes

We will mimic their voices and orders

Till the spirit connects to their talents

We will pitch my tones in delightsome braces

Our voices will teach other nations our song

If the heaven connects the earth by a river

We will swim the entire length for passion

Every morning to say our worship to God

We will say to the earth upon our return

The heaven is the seat of praise

A city laid with gold and sapphire

Our hearts so pure our mouth to sing

If only our affection has faded from earth

Though on it but in heaven ties

We will sing and we will dance for joy

Crowns are freely given our works to be

Thinking nothing but our songs to flow

Nothing annoys but everything in praise

Our cares and burden to lay at His feet

If the heaven announces our transfer

Life works easy because of our songs

Melody works the love to shine

Harmony in the lips to clap out

The greatness in a race a people to come

Our walk in song like a nation to envy

Ageless! Beating wrinkles to extinction
