the Slumber

Drug induced laughter outside the window
Can you hear it?
Government induced extacy calms the city.
Doctors have the best stash in town.
Pick your pill, pick your poison
A dumbed down existence.
Sheep led to slaughter,
An original thought is now a forbidden concept.
And humanity is antique in design.
Refill your prescription, go back to sleep.
You haven't been missing anything.
Let me tell you, reality's still a bitch.
Rebellion can be fought with 90 milligrams a day.
Flouride in the water make you a good boy.
If you can't beat the poison, join it.
A dull look and smile on your face.
You are now a model citizen.
Take your erection pill.
Ingest your happiness.
All is not lost when you live in the slumber.
