How miniscule these things of human construct

that scatter the oceans’ floor.

The sunken loss of human intent,

lying in silent depths,

rotting on reefs,

capturing nets in shoals.

Storm broken load shifted,

war shattered, accidental flame,

un-treasured, mundane refuse.

The crabs and fishes feed.

The oceans continue to continue

while wood rots and metal corrodes.

How temporary these things of human construct.
