Captured the suburbs with a state school degree

So those kids might eat better than me

Wifed a doctors daughter from a fine pedigree

Poor god damn angel thinks the world of me

The pain that clothes me she refuses to see

As she boasts to her friends what our sons will be

Her dreams float like a ship lost at sea

As I pop the raft of their sinking plea

The heart is caged by those with the key

Why has this burden been bestowed upon me?
