I just decided to write this poem, because a lot of families lost someone they loved in the military, and it inspired me.

Are you ever coming home,

I should've said goodbye when I had the chance,

I'm waiting right here waiting for you to come home,

But you ain't ever coming home,

See the sun rise,

Praying to God that you are alive,

But you still don't come home,

Kneeling down on my knees and praying to God,

Watching as time goes by,

Missing in action is what it said,

You're not dead,

Come home,

I'm waiting for you to come home,

I'm wondering why you even went,

I know that you wanted to defend our country,

But there's so much more you can go for,

You're not coming home,

And it's the thing that hurts the most.
