A A A

Like the ticking clock

The countdown has begun

My life has come to a crossroads

To pick a course to run

To chase that which eludes

Or to end this futile game

My soul burns for closure

My world never the same

Your memory a scar

Your touch forever lost

Forgiveness not an option

Our future was the cost

I was completely certain

I had never been afriad

With you by my side

Our groundwork had been laid

A love like no other

A beauty never seen

All gone away

Starting over clean

Energy has been wasted

Mistakes in every prep

My love forever searching

And takes a brand new step
