FIRE
A flickering flame dancing in the moonlight
A coal fire burning bright,
A gentle breeze
A violent blaze,
The flames rise higher
Meaningless screams shouting FIRE!
A trapped girl
Flames swirl,
Sirens in the distance
Are they for me?
A jet of water
It is too late?
My beloved heart is about to brake
A strange man in a uniform,
Come to save me
Am I alive?
My hospital bed waits
Will I make it in time?
I’m out of the blaze
I am afraid
My body badly burnt,
Strange people come to take me away
The house still burning,
I could be in school learning
But I lay here in my hospital bed,
My dying words
Why did I start the fire?
