His hands were wrapped around mine. We laid on the soft velvet mattress side by side, my chest against his. It was only moments ago when we sent each other over the brink of passion, when our minds were consumed by raging tidal waves of pleasure as we screamed out each-other’s names with such ardor that it threatened to shake the house to its very foundations and send the roof crashing down on us both. Our bodies were stripped of all manner of clothing, exposed to the cold air from the open window with our skin covered by nothing but sweat—ah, the aroma of our sweat mixing together was intoxicating! The smell was delicious in every sense of the word; not even a bed of the most luscious roses could inspire the same delight, the same orgasmic rapture.
It was simply heaven.
He opened his eyes, and his gaze locked into mine. He smiled at me and I smiled back in reply, keeping my giddiness in check lest I break my composure and burst into a fit of laughter. His face was a work of art, like a piece of fine russet marble carved and sanded by the gods themselves. And I honestly had no trouble believing that; everything about his face was absolutely perfect. My imagination was at a loss; it had been bested by a reality it did not think had existed. But that reality was right there in front of me, and his body and mine were locked in an embrace that was all too real.
We just looked into each-other’s eyes, cupping each-other’s cheeks with our sweaty palms.
I was the first to break the silence. “What is it, Mark?”
He replied softly. "Nothing, John. I just noticed how handsome you were.”
My face lit up. I could literally feel the blood rushing into my cheeks—and somewhere else too, for that matter… and Mark noticed that too I think, because he started laughing at me. I loved the sound of his laugh, embarrassing as it was. But who would know? We were two lovers, our hearts were one at last, and we didn’t have a care in the world. We would enjoy our time together in private and in the comfort of each-other’s presence. It was a beautiful moment.
“Uhm… thanks, Mark.” I chuckled, trying to disguise my glee with the cool and sly expression I used on everyone else when I became nervous. But it didn’t work on him, because he used the same trick on me and it didn’t work either. It was amusing to think that even our quirks were exactly alike.
“You don’t need to act, John. I know that you love me.” It seemed he knew me too well.
"I'm going to whisper something to you."
"What is it , Mark?”
His body rubbed against mine as he leaned closer. His lips scraped the edge of my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
Mark whispered to me softly…
“I love you, John.”
It was simply heaven.
