Just a short poem that I had on my myspace page about not living in regret.

Yesterday I went to sleep a mere child,
Today I awoke a young man facing trials.
Tonight I'll sleep and tomorrow I'll be old,
I'm so afraid of what this future holds.

Yesterday I fell alseep not a care in the world,
Today I awoke wondering how things had unfurled.
Tonight I'll sleep and tomorrow I'll look back on today.
And I'll wonder if I should have changed my ways.

Yesterday I went to bed as my mother healed my skinned knee.
Today I was waken up by pain, and only I can help me.
Tonight I'll drift off and tomorrow I'll be yet more misery.
This is not the future I used to dream.

Yesterday I went to sleep dreaming of what the future held.
Today I woke up to find out, today I woke up and yelled.
Tonight I'll go to sleep and tomorrow I'll awake a regretful old man.
This is not how this should have been,  I wish I could do it again!

Yesterday I went to sleep not knowing what tomorrow would bring.
Today I awoke to find a young man on the brink.
Tonight I will not go to sleep, I will not wake up old and miserable!
I don't want my future to be dull!

I can't go back and wake myself up so I must continue forward.
I must pave my path now, and I'll use my knowledge as my sword.
Yesterday I knew nothing, today I know so much,
If I put my mind to it, I can do anything I want.

So yesterday is dead and buried,
Today I shall make my stand.
And tomorrow I shall die a happy old man.
A happy old man with no regrets.....
