Memories vanish to make room for the new. It's a fact of life that we can't help but ponder.

A box
A chest
A trove

Holding love
Holding life
All I've ever known

As it fades
As it morphs
I don't know how I feel

It seems as if
As if I'm losing
All I'd known as real

As true
As fact
And now I'm left with fiction

Worlds of murky ceation

One thought replaces
the other now gone
Deleted without my consent

I wish
I hope
To still the tides
Stopping my time now spent

Because I don't know
what new truths await
And what will soon be forgotten

Will I lose happiness?
Memories that I had cherished?

Or will a positive light
a peaceful day
cause some darkness to be banished?

I'm asking these questions
That on furthur thought I don't think that we're meant to know

Because if we've the answers
then how are we otherwise
otherwise meant to grow?
