Oh, please believe me when I say, I know what fear is all about.

And please believe me when I say, I know that pain can really shout,

But remember what your daddy always used to say,

No pain, no gain,

You're the clay in the hands of pain, As you hurt, it cuts deep,

It turns you into the person, You were always meant to be,

Look in the mirror, See what you've become,

What would you be, If you didn't make it through, What the pain has done?

You see my scars, You think you know my pain?

You try to make a purpose for me, In this place.

You preach of Love, peace, prosperity,

Did you ever stop to think, "The first thing to prosper, should be inside of me?"

I'm the cripple on the corner, You see me suffer all the time.

Don't think that I don't notice, You treat me like I'm blind.

You look down at me, I look up at you,

I wonder why you think, That someone actually has to choose,

Because in God's eyes, We're all the same,

Someday, you'll see, That we'll all have perfect wings.
