~~In the midst of the world, I am no one.
In the creases of Earth, I am alone.
In the breath of the sun I am being consumed,
But with the kiss of the wind, I am being exhaled.
When night falls, I am invisible and silenced by the sound of living things.
The only liveliness I ever feel, is in the momentum of your arms.
I kowtow to the heat of your eyes, your breath on the back of my neck, and the savory flavor of your gentle lips.
What divine force made you?
Was it the same God who made me and the rest of earthly faces?
Was he the one who made you, too?
I think he made you with his bare hands.
I think he sketched every part of you on paper. He designed every wrinkle, every opening pore, every vein even every beat of your heart.
He is the architect of your beauty, your incomparable uniqueness and the shape of your features.
You make me feel alive, simply because you see the goodness in me that no one else can.
It’s because you live and grasp breath and ventilate kindness that I live with purpose today.
It’s not just for who you are, but for what you’ve shown me that I am, and I am alive.
Because of you I see all I am inside,
and this is when I begin to feel, alive.
