Another cliché, another piece,

About heartbreak and pain and feeling deceased.

Where I complain and where I cry,

About the pain of his goodbye.

A heartbreak song is all it is,

A hurtful mouth and gentle kiss.

The words he said, the wrong he did,

In his heart lies the things he hid.

Because I feel I can’t endure,

A broken heart that has no cure.

Oh! How I wish this went away,

The burn I feel I can’t relay.

It’s cheesy and played out,

What this poem is all about.

But nonetheless it’s how I feel,

Will time suffice for me to heal?

Another song, one more complaint,

My heart is heavy and growing faint.

I will get through this, is that right?

I’m not equipped to win this fight.

This is your battle, this is your deed,

To get you out of me is what I need.

A hackneyed subject for this song,

That’s painful, fragile and very long.

Naïve, cliché among a ton,

From heartbreak’s pain, no one can run.
