Warning: This poem is quite dark and violent.

I wrote it after an argument I had with one of my best friends at the time, whom I had confusing feelings for.

At the time, I felt like she was changing and I was loosing my one of my closest friends. My cries for attention seemed to fall on deaf ears.

The cold steel,
A dark purpose.

The ropes wrapped tightly,
The body bound.

Unable to move,
Unable to speak.

She stares up with with those eyes,
Longing for release.

Tears crawl down her cheek,
Such beauty in pain...

The sharp blade slides against her face,
An impression following, but not cutting.

Her eyes watching,
Following the blade's path.

The wielder of the blade laughs
As he straddles the bounded body.

The blade returns toward the wielder's arm,
Draining the blood from his body.

The blood drips upon her face,
The tears increasing.

As his body grows cold and limp,
He removes her bonds.

Falling limp,
His body covered in blood...

She cries harder
And falls to her knees by his side.

She holds his head in her lap.
He breathes his his last breaths.

"All I wanted was you,..."
He whispered.

"...To, for once, be the center of your attention.
To be the one you cared about...

To, once,
Recieve your sweet kiss!"

The body falls limp, lifeless,
And the tears fall persistently.
