Eyes of Sorrow (Dawn's Song II)

Poem by: Jaywrite44

Summary

Seeing sorrow in the eyes of someone I love hurts me more than these words can express.......especially when there is little I can do to help.

The sorrow in your eyes
Put sadness in my heart.
I wish I could take away
The pain and endure it for you.
Though pain not from my hands,
I still feel shame.
I feel shamed simply being a man.
I want to embrace you
And take away your sadness.
I want to ease your sorrow
And bring back all the love
And happiness you deserve.
I will be a shoulder to cry on.
I will offer a tender embrace.
I love you more than you know
And will do what I can to
Bring back the smile to your face
And sparkle to your eyes of sorrow.
